Allen & Heath ZED60-10FX Mixing Desk
The Allen & Heath ZED60-10FX gives you the quality needed for a portable and compact mixer that is designed with recording and live work in mind. The ZED60-10FX is great for solo performers or smaller applications where only a few inputs are needed.
The Zed 60-10FX builds upon the success of the top selling ZED-10FX by adding premium quality 60mm faders. It has four mono mix inputs that also have high impedance jack inputs that can take a normal line level or a low level input from a guitar pickup, so guitars can be plugged straight into the mixer without the need for DI boxes. These inputs have been crafted to recreate the sound of a classic tube preamp in a combo or head amp for incredible definition and warmth. There is also two stereo channels located on the 60-10FX.
ZED60-10FX comes with configurable USB audio in/out, making it easy to capture a stereo recording at the gig or in the studio. The mixer is equipped with professional XLR main stereo outputs, a flexible monitoring section with headphone and speaker feed outputs, and 16 stunning FX.

Ive always been a fan of Allen & Heath and loved their big desks that I used whilst touring with bands. I needed a small mixer for little acoustic pup gigs and this ZED60-10FX works great. The four mono inputs allow me to run a couple of guitars and a couple of vocals and an MP3 player in one of the stereo channel.
For the price the FX on the ZED60 10FX sound good, but to be honest I only really use a touch of reverb. Nice to have a mid-swept EQ on the mono channels and the the USB is a nice touch for basic recording.
No problem recommending this to anyone needing a compact mixer. (Posted on 01/11/2012) -

I think this mixer was only released the week before I bought this and it was great to see the EAV team had already made a video on the product. For those that know the ZED range of mixers, the new ZED60-10FX is the same as the ZED 10FX but with 60mm faders instead of pots. In my personal opinion, faders make you feel like you have more control and it was the one thing stopping me from buying the standard 10FX unit. The mixer arrived extremely quickly and has been used on the road and I'm very happy with it. (Posted on 17/10/2012)
