SOUND CONTROL & TURNKEY ENTER ADMINISTRATION

The world of MI has had a wake up call with the announcement of Sound Control, the UK’s largest MI retailer, going into administration. In a released statement it is claimed that the group concerned, which includes Sound Control, Turnkey, Media Tools and Soho Soundhouse, have been affected by the increased competition from the internet. 10 of the groups trading locations have been closed and the telesales and internet side of the group have been closed. 163 redundancies have also taken place effective immediately. This follows the demise of  Williams Music, trading as the Music Shop, who also went into administration last year.
